Health and Nutrition

Educare of Omaha is dedicated to the health and well-being of all its students through comprehensive health screenings and growth assessments. These essential services are designed to monitor each child's physical development and overall health, ensuring that any potential concerns are identified early.

We require that all children enrolled in the program receive their recommended preventative healthcare and treatments such as well-baby exams and dental visits. The preventative healthcare schedule is determined by the Nebraska Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) recommendations. We assist families in obtaining all healthcare services needed.

The Health Services Team

The six-member Health Services Team includes a health aide supporting each school, a Health Services Manager, and the Director of Health and Nutrition Services. Two registered nurses hold a bachelor’s in nursing with an average of over 17 years of experience in the medical field. Four health aides are Certified Nursing Assistants and have been in the field an average of 3.5 years.
