Sixpence Home Visiting Program

The Sixpence Home Visiting Program supports babies, toddlers, and parents from prenatal stages to age three with the Parents as Teachers in-home education model for up to 24 children.

Our experienced professionals meet with families in their homes three times a month to support parents in preparing for and guiding the early development of their children. Home visiting specialists model effective techniques for nurturing relationships with infants and toddlers, helping parents become more adept at monitoring their children's health and developmental needs through the Parents as Teachers curriculum. Additionally, they assist families in setting and working toward goals while connecting them to valuable community resources as needed.

Families enrolled in Educare of Omaha’s Sixpence Home Visiting Program also gather as a group once a month. These gatherings have included enjoyable outings to parks, farms, and a festive fall party. Such outings foster community connections, promote socialization, and create lasting memories for families.
